Volunteering for Young People Gets A Big Boost
Herefordshire Voluntary Action in partnership with Herefordshire Council for Voluntary Youth Services has just heard that it will receive £240,000 over the next three years to help inspire and support young people aged 16-25 to volunteer in Herefordshire.
The funding comes from the national £75million programme being delivered by V, the national volunteering charity. “We are absolutely delighted to have received this funding and look forward to having two full time workers who will be dedicated to increasing the quantity, quality and diversity of youth volunteering in this county.” said Angela Legg, Volunteering Services Manager at Herefordshire Voluntary Action. “Starting in April next year the project will aim to involve a thousand young people in volunteering over the three years.’
