Due to the retirement of our long serving Chief Officer, the Directors of Volunteer Centre Warrington are seeking to recruit a suitable person to fulfil this important role. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic person who will build on the good track record established over our 25-year history, and lead the Volunteer Centre forward into the future.
You will need to be able to demonstrate-
· An ability to develop our strategic vision, and to lead forward planning
· Extensive management experience in the third sector
· Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a commitment to skill development and work/life balance for staff
· A real understanding of the role of Volunteer Centres, knowledge about volunteering issues, personal experience of volunteering, and an understanding of the need for good quality volunteer management
· A good track record in making successful funding bids
· Financial expertise in setting and managing budgets, and managing complex finances.
· Excellent communication skills with evidence of developing positive external relationships, and partnership working
