Trustees play a huge part in the success and impact of voluntary and community organisations of every size, from grassroots community groups to large household-name charities. In England and Wales alone, trustee boards look after a staggering £39 billion of funds for some 190,000 registered charities.

Charities all over Herefordshire are desperately seeking trustees, people like you to bring new perspectives, vision and support to their organisations. Everyone has something to contribute – it could be for example, a personal knowledge of your community, or you may have professional skills or volunteering experience. usteeship is a great way to make a real difference to a charity or cause you care about and it is also a brilliant route for developing new skills, gaining more experience and getting involved with new networks.

There are many misconceptions about what being a trustee involves so Herefordshire Volunteer Centre is running a Trustee Workshop on Thursday 15 May at 7.00-9.00pm at the Kindle Centre in Hereford.
