Community Wheels

Community Wheels is a social car scheme operating in the North of the County. The project has a small team of paid staff and over 70+ volunteer drivers who provide transport for people in North Herefordshire. Community Wheels is based in Leominster. Volunteer drivers are paid out of pocket expenses for the trips they undertake and it is due to their dedication and professionalism that the servicve is able to operate. Funding is provided by Herefordshire Council, charitable trusts and passenger fares.

Community Wheels is the largest Community Transport scheme in Herefordshire with a coverage area of approximately 350 square miles- covering in excess of 200,000 miles per annum, providing over 14,000 passenger trips.

The service also has an accessible minibus that is available for multiple trips
