In light of the voluntary and community sector having to deal with the current financial/funding climate and adapt to different ways of working to ensure long-term viability, Herefordshire Voluntary Action is organising a Sustainable Funding Fair to encourage voluntary and community organisations within Herefordshire to develop and implement a sustainable income strategy.
Herefordshire Voluntary Action has recently been awarded Sustainable Funding Beacon status and is working in partnership with the Sustainable Funding Team at NCVO (National Council of Voluntary Organisations) to offer a programme of events which will focus on all aspects of sustainable funding.
The Sustainable Funding Fair will consist of a series of workshops on various aspects of funding as well as providing the opportunity to look round and gather information from local funders.
The programme for the morning includes the following:
9:00am onwards Registration – Tea /coffee available on arrival
9:30am - 10:00am Welcome and Introduction – Main Hall
10:00am - 11:00am
Workshop 1 – Fundraising - Amelia Quinlan (HVA)
Workshop 2 - Social Enterprises - Nick Comley (Community First)
Workshop 3 – Contracting/ Commissioning - Judy Weir (Aspire)
Workshop 4 – Trusts and Foundations - Dave Tristram (Herefordshire Council)
11:00am – 11:30am Coffee Break
