RECONOMY - REIMAGINING, REVIEWING, RECREATING THE HEREFORDSHIRE ECONOMY
8 June 2011, 09:30AM - 8 June 2011, 13:00PM
Climate change tells us that our consumption of energy and resources must change, if we are to survive...
The end of ‘cheap oil’ tells us that present economic equations are poised to change, like it or not...
How can Herefordshire build a resilient localised economy, braced for change?
Herefordshire in Transition Alliance (HiTA) invites you to attend the launch of REconomy, a project from the Transition Network aimed at creating a truly sustainable Herefordshire economy, one which will meet the real needs of local people. This can be achieved through developing existing enterprises and new ones, through developing local skills and local resources. The facilitated workshop on 8th June provides an opportunity to investigate with others from all sectors and from across the county.......
“What would a truly sustainable local economy look like in 5 years, 10 years, 15 years time?”
“What activities and enterprises can we see around the county today, which could form the basis for that economy?”
“What opportunities can we identify for creating the new activities, new enterprises and new skills which will be required?”
Half-day workshop to launch the project : Wednesday 8th June : 0930 – 1300hrs : The Courtyard, Hereford
Facilitated by Nick Osborne of Transition Training
Please note that to cover costs there will be a charge of £3.50
