Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.  The key campaign theme this year is 'awareness of symptoms and the importance of early detection'.

Did you know?

  • 12 women in the UK die of ovarian cancer, every day

  • It is the fourth most common cancer in women

  • UK survival rates are amongst the lowest in the Western World and have changed little in the last twenty years

Until specific and accurate tests are developed and widely available Ovarian cancer action will work to raise awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors for the disease amongst women and their health professionals, using evidence based research.
