WE CAN HELP YOU FIND VOLUNTEERS
We receive around 750 enquiries annually from people seeking volunteering so we can help you by providing information on your opportunities to potential volunteers by:

Registering your volunteering opportunities on our database which is regularly uploaded to the national volunteering website www.do-it.org.uk

Promoting through a wide range of marketing tools such as our weekly column in The Journal, our monthly taster posters displayed in 75 venues and our display stands at events.

Discussing your opportunities with potential volunteers including organisations operating employee supported volunteering schemes.
WE CAN HELP YOU WITH YOUR VOLUNTEERING PROGRAMME
If you are setting up a volunteering programme for the first time or, even if you have been running one for a while but need some support, we:

Provide information and guidance on good practice issues such as expenses, disclosures, health and safety and funding. If we do not know the answers, we will signpost you to someone who does.

Run regular training events.

Facilitate a quarterly Volunteer Co-ordinators Forum so that you can network, exchange information and seek guidance from others

Run the bi-annual Herefordshire Volunteers of the Year Awards so that volunteering in the county can be recognised and celebrated.
