VITAL Herefordshire LEADER Programme
Funding Bulletin July 2011
The VITAL Herefordshire LEADER programme has an amount of funding to allocate this financial year 2011/12.
• Short projects to start from September 2011 and must be finished/spent by end of January 201.
• Must take place in or benefit people in rural Herefordshire (excluding Hereford City).
• Maximum of £5,000 LEADER funding up to 70% of total costs
• 30% match funding required
• Projects must be community-led or have clear evidence of community support or involvement
Themes include:
• Training projects – a priority for funding. Requires 30% match funding – must be cash and non-public (ie private/voluntary/charitable trust – not Lottery funds)
• Basic Services for the Economy and Rural Population
• Village Renewal and Development
• Conservation and Upgrading of the Rural Heritage
These last 3 themes can be matched with public/private/voluntary cash or volunteer time.
Deadline for submission of applications – 15th August 2011 – 4.30pm
