Herefordshire Interim Third Sector Board
Looking for new leaders of the Third Sector in Herefordshire
Recruitment is underway to establish a new Third Sector Board for Herefordshire.
Herefordshire has a very rich network and long tradition of active voluntary and community organisations – from small community run societies, to large not-for-profit organisations delivering key services to local people. They are all part of what is known as ‘the Third Sector’.
The role of the Board will be to provide an influential voice and strategic leadership for Third Sector organisations in the County. The Chair and members of the Board will be speaking up on the key issues that affect voluntary and community organisations in Herefordshire. They will be promoting the role and contribution that local organisations make to the lives of people in the County and challenging both the sector and others to support and develop the work that they do.
An independent chair will be appointed in the first instance and then (up to) 12 Board members. Applications are sought from anyone who thinks they have the necessary experience and skills. The intention is that the new Board will be active on behalf of Third Sector organisations, easy to communicate with and will act impartially in the best interests of the sector as a whole.
This is a great opportunity to show what the Third Sector can do! Please send this message and the advertisement attached around all your contacts.
