Herefordshire Council's Community Projects Grant

How would you spend £2000?

Got a good idea to improve your community?

Did you know there is money on offer to do it through a brilliant scheme which offers up to £2,000 or 50% of the total project cost whichever is the lesser.

Herefordshire Council have already paid towards a feasibility study for a playground, crockery for a luncheon club, performer’s fees for a recreational event and many more.

The scheme can fund all sorts of things.
Community organisations, voluntary groups, groups of people with the same interest, social enterprises and town & parish councils have all applied.

The main priority is to support projects that ‘Promote and support voluntary and community activity in Herefordshire’

So, if your project would benefit your community and there is wide support for it, get in touch and ask for the form today.

A few things we can’t fund include: second funding for the same activity, political or religious activities and individuals.

We can’t fund a project if it’s already begun. If you are planning an event you need to apply at least 12 weeks before the date of the event.

Application forms can be obtained from 01432 260753 or by emailing: delegatedgrants@herefordshire.gov.uk  or from the Council’s website: http://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/community_and_living/neighbourhood/1686.asp
If you have an idea for a project, and you’d like to speak to someone about it first, please call the Project Development team on 01432 261793 who will also be able to provide advice on other sources of funding.
