Grassroots Grants!
Herefordshire Community Foundation and HVA are working together to provide over £200,000 in grants to small voluntary and community-based groups over the next 3 years.
The funding stream, Grassroots, is available to groups which have been active for 12 months and have an average annual turnover of less than £30,000.
There are two funding streams open – one for projects under £900 and the other between £900 and £5,000. Groups can receive a maximum of £5,000 over the full 3 years of the fund and one award does not guarantee further awards.
The funding is designed to increase the capacity of groups, for example purchasing equipment or recruiting and training volunteers.
Update: ‘There is now a very limited amount of Grassroots grants money available and there will only be one more panel which will be held at the end of August. The Grassroots Grants programme will then close. Therefore if you wish your request to be considered the completed application form must be with us no later than 20th August’.
