Grassroots Grants

Herefordshire Community Foundation and HVA are working together to provide over £200,000 in grants to small voluntary and community-based groups over the next 3 years.

The new funding stream, Grassroots, is available to groups which have been active for 12 months before December 2007 and have an average annual turnover of less than £20,000.

There are two funding streams open – one for projects under £900 and the other between £900 and £5,000. Groups can receive a maximum of £5,000 over the full 3 years of the fund and one award does not guarantee further awards.

The funding is designed to increase the capacity of groups, for example,. such as purchasing equipment or recruiting and training volunteers.
