A new Local Compact out for consultation - Get involved!
This week sees the launch of a consultation on the new Local Compact. The Local Compact affects all community and voluntary organisations in Herefordshire. It sets out the terms of the relationship between the public sector and 3rd sector organisations in the County and provides the framework for all future negotiations and joint working, including funding and procurement. It is important that we make sure the terms of the Compact are right.
This is your chance to have your say! Herefordshire Third Sector Board (HTSB) wants to send in a collective response from 3rd sector organisations. A joint response will give added weight to our key messages and our influence over the final shape of the Compact will be stronger.
We need you to contribute to the joint response, although we are encouraging you to respond individually as well. Here is the link to the documentation (the Compact document and the questionnaire): http://consult.herefordshire.gov.uk/consult.ti/compact/consultationHome
The consultation will run until the middle of September. HTSB will be calling for views from you by the middle of August so that we can prepare the joint response. And we will be arranging a meeting in early September to discuss the collective response before the final closing date. We will shortly be sending you a ‘Survey Monkey’ to complete (which will be the questions published with the Compact document) as the first step in the process.
We will collate the results and use them to formulate a draft response to discuss at the meeting in September.
